The next act booked for the 2016 Calgary Stampede?
A dummy. Well, a bunch of dummies and the man who gives them life, Jeff Dunham
The American comedian and ventriloquist, who Time magazine dubbed “the most popular comedian in the United States,” will perform July 17 at the Saddledome as part of the Virgin Mobile Stampede Concert Series.
Tickets for the show range from $49.99 to $149.99 (plus service charges) and go on sale Friday, Feb. 5 from ticketmaster.ca. As with all concerts in the series, admission to the grounds is included in the price.
“This is the first time we have brought a comedian to the Saddledome stage during Stampede,” said Adam Oppenheim, managing director of Stampede Concerts Inc., in a statement.
“Jeff Dunham is an extremely talented comedian and a touring force of nature. There is no doubt the Saddledome will be filled with laughter.”
